The Electrical Engineering Department work on spacecraft electrical architecture and electronic units, from design phase right through to build and test phase.
During these phases, all high level & reliable analogue/digital design, build, and all functional/verifications/operation features are considered in line with space standards. Most of our products are manufactured in house and are then delivered to the Spacecraft Production Department for the Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) team to take over.
The Electrical Engineering Department is responsible for spacecraft power systems, on board data handling and processing, RF and GNSS systems in addition to different payload electronics and mechanisms electronics.
We Are Responsible For
High level reliable electronics design, manufacturing and build, equipment and system level testing.
Power Systems
Covering the full engineering lifecycle from cradle to grave for all power systems and associated integration. Ensuring overall product quality, test, and delivery from bid phase to orbit operation phase.
On-Board Data Handling
Covering all aspects of engineering lifecycle for OBDH System Equipment in a spacecraft - typically to include On-board Computer, Data Recorder, and Payload Interface Unit.
RF & GNSS
Responsibility for undertaking the design, analysis, development and delivery into the mission of RF communication systems; including but not limited to transmitters, receivers, antennas and associated test hardware.
