Flight Assembly Inspector - Job Ref: 321

*Role sits inside IR35

We are currently looking for a contractor to work in our inspection department within flight Assembly in accordance with SSTL procedures.

Duties include

Primary role will be supporting the inspection lead with inspection to ECSS and IPC standard

Typical duties include:

• Inspection of PCBs, module assemblies and harnesses to ESA and IPC standards
• Work to production plan & report progress daily, liaise with peers as and when necessary.
• Use of X-Ray machine
• Use of Hyrox equipment
• Use of automated inspection machines
• Keeping up to date records of temperature and gold contamination in solder pots
• Other work as delegated by the inspection lead

Qualifications Knowledge & Skills

• ESA certificate gained in inspection

• IPC certificate desired

• Experience within an engineering environment

• Practical, hands-on ability

• Good general computing skills (word processing and basic spreadsheets) Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Clear communication skills

• Commitment to take own initiative

• Excellent planning and organising skills

• Able to use common sense when under pressure

The role is based in our Guildford office.
